Comtac-Style Electronic Headset

The Comtac-Style Electronic Headset combines active hearing protection with ambient sound amplification, allowing you to maintain situational awareness while staying protected from impulse noise.

A microphone mounted on each ear cup captures external sound and reproduces it through the internal speakers, so ambient noise such as footsteps, conversation, and range commands remain audible. When incoming sound exceeds approximately 82 decibels, the onboard chip automatically attenuates it before it reaches the ear. Normal amplification resumes as soon as the impulse passes.

The ear cups use silicone gel cushions rather than standard foam. Gel conforms around the temple arms of eye protection to maintain a consistent seal and resists the compression and breakdown associated with foam over extended use.

A U94 military-style plug on the left cup allows the headset to connect to a push-to-talk unit and two-way radio, including Kenwood two-pin and Baofeng-compatible systems. The headset also functions as a standalone electronic earmuff when no radio is connected.

The headband is adjustable across standard adult head sizes and is removable. The boom microphone is detachable and can be mounted on either side.
